About
executive chef - kip poole
With 30 years of professional experience in the hospitality industry, Kip Poole developed a curiosity and appreciation early on, for sustainable farming/cooking and education.
Poole put his newfound appreciation for farmers and growers into action as Executive Chef for the Virginia Beach City Public Schools scratch cooking program where he began showing our youth what local really means. Recognizing untapped potential in students, Poole founded The CROP Foundation to mentor aspiring chefs and improve food education while maintaining an active presence in the culinary scene, appearing on Guys Grocery Games and The Big Brunch with Dan Levy.
Today, Poole’s life revolves around teaching, cooking, and creating opportunities for young culinary talents, driven by a commitment to culinary excellence and improving food education.
